Food for homeless and my last Tarawikh 2012

It did not took my second thought to lend both of my hands in my husband's friends activities last couple of weeks. They called it 'Food for homeless'. We arrived at Ida's house (Hamidah Hamdan is her real name if I am not mistaken) at 10.45 p.m. Her family and friends were already there. Busy packing the food. It was a warm welcome from them and Alhamdulillah, we manage to lend a little help in packaging the food. About 12 a.m, our leader divided us into two groups. MAYBANK area and Masjid Negara groups. We joined the Masjid Negara group. Azza Elite; the singer also joined us, but I did not got a chance to say hi though.

We departed to Masjid Negara with mix rices (chicken and vegetables), mineral water, bags, clothing, and some kuih raya. That was my first experience meeting personally with the beggars and homeless. My eyes were brimming with tears when they repeatedly saying thank you, thank you, thank you. Priceless experience. After Masjid Negara, we went to Dataran Merdeka and Chow Kit road. Well mentioned about Chow Kit road and the valley nearby, I walked passed a few prostitutes. They were a bit shy but from another friend stories, they did accept our foods with honorable manner. Lets pray they will change to the better someday.

It was 23rd of Ramadhan. I thankful the organizer and my husband for granting me once in a lifetime experience. May Allah blesses us all. In everything we did, we seek His 'Redha'. Not fame or anything else. This is the least that we can do. Alhamdulillah for the chance that He granted us with. Gua.com had published a little info about this event, click here if you want to read about it.

As I wrote this piece, I am already at Terengganu (^_^). Last night was my last Tarawikh. We went to White mosque of Kuala Terengganu with husband, mom in law and sisters in law. Beautiful recitation from the invited Imam. He cited a very long dua' and he did not forget to pray for our brothers and sisters in Syria and Burma. Tears. I feel so attached with Ramadhan this year. It is by far the closest one in my heart. I can't wait to welcome you again next year, dear Ramadhan.

To my future children, this post is mainly for you my dear. Do not hesitate to do good deeds. Even people may judge you, saying craps, but deep down they are not the one who we should care of. Kita hidup untuk mencari redhaNya. That's what I repeatedly chanting this recent days. And it works you know.

Tomorrow is our victorious day. 1st of Syawal.

To all Muslims, I wish you Selamat hari raya, and maaf zahir batin!
